This is a unique position, as you’ll have the entire picture and you’ll work with other engineers that might focus on one part of the application.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our doctors to ensure that the dashboard allows them to make recommendations effectively and efficiently
  • Collaborate with bioinformaticians to figure out how to display data from the labs
  • Collaborate with other frontend and backend engineers to drive releases in AWS – we’re using ansible
  • Contribute to web services and defining interfaces – we’re using Scala, Slick for web services, but good Java experience is sufficient.
  • Contribute to front-end code – we’re using React and Redux, but Javascript experience with any other modern framework suffices
  • Ensure security of the system – security is important for medical data and we need to be HIPAA compliant, so we’re encrypting all data at rest and in transition using SSL and encrypted storage. You should be able to maintain this and ensure security for the new code.

Customer Service Manager, Cupertino, CA

We are looking for a full-time Customer Service Manager who is passionate about helping Viome’s customers have the best possible experience. This employee will work closely with our customer base to answer inquiries, collect feedback and continually improve the Viome user experience. This person will also help test software as time permits.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for Viome customers
  • Answer incoming customer queries regarding billing issues, product problems, service questions and general client concerns through email, live chat and telephone
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism with customers and work to establish a positive rapport with every caller
  • Take part in developing the customer support knowledge base
  • Update customer information in the customer support knowledge base following each call
  • Work with the management team to maintain product knowledge and be informed on changes in company policies
  • Work with engineering team to improve systems used by customer support personnel
  • Capture and systemize feedback (good and bad) so that we keep improving our products & service as we grow

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all purchasing and raw material inventory, must be able to establish and develop a robust material strategy and execution plan
  • Maintain adequate supply levels, demand trend analysis focused on pro-active signals to the supply base
  • Ensures all purchase orders are placed in support of Operations, commodities include molded components, packaging, consumables & chemicals

We are looking for a full-time Labware LIMS Administrator who will set up and maintain LIMS in a CLIA/CAP lab for NGS and LC/MS analyses. The employee will work closely with 10-15 other lab staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop all LIMS modules needed for lab operations.
  • Integrate LIMS with back-end software.
  • Design and support database functionality using coding utilities.
  • Integrate and facilitate data exchange between complex instruments and the database.
  • Integrate LIMS into the CLIA/CAP operations.

Qualifications:

As a Data Engineer at Viome’s NYC office, your primary responsibility will be to curate raw data from a number of structured and unstructured data sources, organize, annotate, integrate, and develop models for downstream algorithms and pipelines, and engineer the representation and storage on our backend systems. Viome has a large number of rich data sources that is unmatched in its depth and ability to provide insights. Your work will form the basis for a unique product in the market, and you will have the opportunity to help shape the direction of the technology capabilities. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop data curation pipelines using modern scripting languages, for tasks including ingest, clean, transform, consolidate, entity-resolve, link, enrich, etc
  • Use data science, statistics, and machine learning techniques to automate as many tasks as possible
