We are looking for a full-time Functional Nutritionist or Naturopathic Doctor who is passionate about helping Viome’s customers receive possible nutritional recommendations as derived from the results of their microbiome metatranscriptome. This employee will work on the translational science operational team, work with our customer base and customer support team to answer inquiries, collect feedback and continually improve the Viome user experience. This person will also help test software as time permits.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate, review and validate Nutritional and Supplement recommendations

  • Track and follow up on special circumstances

  • Work with Translational Science R&D to create strategies and implement changes to the Viome nutritional platform as new information is released

  • Provide support to Engineering, AI and Customer support teams on matters relating to nutrition

  • Capture and systemize feedback in order to continuously improve our product

  • Monitor customer service platform for inquiries relating to recommendations

  • Track Customer Service concerns to modify presentation or content of recommendations and assist in development and modification of Customer Service protocols

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism with customers and reinforce Viome science

Required Qualifications:

  • Naturopathic Medicine or Functional medicine/nutrition designation

Clinical Study Coordinator - Los Alamos, NM or Mountain View, CA

We are looking for full-time coordinators to lead clinical studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple clinical studies, from a few to >1000 participants
  • Work with Viome scientific, product assembly, lab operations, bioinformatics, and machine-learning groups
  • Work with many external collaborators: industrial, government, clinical and academic
  • Make regular phone calls to collaborators and study participants
  • Train other staff

Bioinformatics Engineer - Mountain View, CA

We are seeking an energetic individual for an entry level Bioinformatics Engineer position who can work as part of a team. This position is located in either our Mountain View, CA office or San Diego, CA office.

The successful applicant will need to:

  • Quickly learn the structure of the existing software.
  • Run, monitor and troubleshoot existing Bioinformatic workflows.
  • Be able to modify the existing software and/or re-write it in a more efficient language.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for Viome customers
  • Answer incoming customer queries regarding billing issues, product problems, service questions and general client concerns through email, live chat and telephone
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism with customers and work to establish a positive rapport with every caller
  • Take part in developing the customer support knowledge base

This is a unique position, as you’ll have the entire picture and you’ll work with other engineers that might focus on one part of the application.

  • Collaborate with our doctors to ensure that the dashboard allows them to make recommendations effectively and efficiently

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of new protocols on Hamilton Star and Starlet liquid handling systems
  • Generate and validate robust methods on Venus (can use GUI or HSL language)
  • Produce high quality data to match or exceed the manual methods
